Essie Treat Love And Color:
Strengthener & Nail Polish
If like me, you’re not blessed with super long, strong and elegant fingernails Essie’s new treatment polish may be perfect for you.
I’m always on the hunt for the perfect nail treatment and polish color that lasts more than three days before it chips!
Maybe it’s not just the fault of the actual nail product as I’m not the world’s most diligent at caring for my nails. I tend to go through phases.
Which means I’m not always consistent when it comes to daily TLC for my nails.
For example, not rubbing oil into my nails three times a day. Which I really do believe helps in their overall health.
So as part of trying Essie’s Treat Love and Color polish, I’m also going to rub oil into my nails and cuticles daily. I know that’s adding another variable to the mix, but I think it will be worth it.
Essie’s Strengthener Claims
Essie claims:
- It takes just 1 step to strengthen and color your nails
- No base or top coat is required
- It gives you stronger nails in one week
- With 60% less peeling
- And 35% less breakage
That’s quite a big promise and I’m trying this polish out for the week. Fingers crossed it’s as good a solution as claimed.
Strengthen & Color In One Step
What I do like about this product is that you color your nails in one step. Usually strengthening products are clear and somtimes a funky pinkish color. And then you still have to paint on a color and top coat.
The color range is pretty impressive, with 32 shades available. The colors range from soft and subtle pinks, blues, mauves to deeper shades of red and grey.
You can see the full color palette here.
The color I chose to try out is # 37, Right Hooked. It’s a mid grey and ideal for this time of year. Actually, I’d wear it any time of the year because it’s a really nice neutral.
This polish costs $10 which seems like a good deal since no base coat, top coat or colored varnish is required.
How To Get Money Back For Buying This Polish
Yup, I’m being serious, you can get money back making on this purchase.
If you have an EBATES account, you’ll know how to do this and why it’s worthwhile.
If you don’t, I highly recommend you check it out and sign up for an account. There’s no catch.
Ebates is an American cash back website headquartered in San Francisco, CA and they’ve been around since 1999.
They’re simply a shopping portal offering coupons and cash back from over 2,000 online retailers.
They make their money by being the affiliate and they give you a 50% split of the commission they make.
How To Sign Up
You can check them out here. If you sign up using my link you’ll get $10 just for signing up. That pays for the polish!
And if you purchased this polish from Walgreens, for example, they offer 7% cash back through EBATES.
EBATES pays out your cash back balance on a quarterly basis, either by check to your home address or to you Paypal account.
You don’t need to worry about giving them your debit or credit card details as each order is made on the website of each retailer, eg Neiman Marcus (who are currently offering a whopping 8% cash back!).
If you have any questions about EBATES, let me know. I’d be happy to help you navigate their system. I could kick myself for being a ‘Doubting Thomas’ and not signing up sooner!
Checking Back In
I’ll check back in next week and let you know how the polish stayed on and if I do see a difference in my nails.
I’d be very happy if I do because I really would love my nails to be stronger and nicely polished more often than not.
Nail Polish Update
This polish is amazing! It stays on your nails without chipping and I did notice a difference in their condition and length.
So much so I purchased another color ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’. It’s a dark charcoal grey which actually dries a bit darker than the color in the bottle. It’s a keeper too!
I’m actually so impressed with this formulation I already know the next color on my list to purchase.
It’s ‘On The Mauve’ see the image below. Gorgeous color and nails too!
