Creating A Wish List
Before sitting down to write my 2018 wish list, I decided to take a wee look at the definition in the dictionary.
a list of desired but often realistically unobtainable items;
a wish list of useful changes
It was a nice reminder to also include some intangibles too.
Reading the definition made me think, do I put “perceived” unobtainable items or changes on mine? And actually, I don’t think I’ve ever thought about it that way. I just list my desires and don’t worry about where, or how, they will come. I just expect them.
But does this mean if I don’t consciously think about big hairy scary goals, my lists tend to be kinda safe? Maybe.
Personally, I like to physically write out my list. Much as I love technology, and we’ll come to that, there’s something about writing things down that I love.
Writing It Down In Style
As a bit of a stationery geek, my favorite place to write anything is my beloved LV desk agenda (featured in the photo above.
She was on my list last year and she’s stylish, luxurious and a place that I write and schedule lots of things. I just love, love, love her!
Being a desk agenda she’s a bit on the larger side. So any updates that arise when I don’t have her with me are written in one of my favorite small leather goods (SLGs), my LV agenda pm size (in photo above). Her little sister, so to speak, is small enough to carry in most purses/handbags.
I just enjoy opening a beautiful agenda and love writing on good quality paper with a favorite pen. It’s the story of my life I’m writing. It deserves some luxe!
Agenda Sizes, Finishes & Prices
Both of my agendas are in LV monogram canvas; there are other finishes and sizes available to choose from too.
The sizes and starting prices are:
- LV Agenda PM $395, 3.9″ x 5.5″ (right above)
- LV Agenda MM $605, 5.5″ x 7.1″
- LV Agenda GM $775, 7.1″ x 8.7″
- LV Desk Agenda $550, 7.0″ x 9.0″ (left above)
The price also depends on the finish you choose:
- Damier Ebene
- Damier Azure
- Epi Leather
- Taiga Leather
These agendas are more of an investment purchase and they last for years. I mean 20 years, easily. Cost per use is minimal. That’s why there is a great demand for them on the preloved market and, if looked after well, they hold their value.
Fashionphile is a great resource for picking up authenticated preloved luxury goods and worth checking out and keeping on your radar.
You can purchase LV refill inserts, which are expensive (and lovely) however Filofax inserts fit perfectly too.
