Women’s Poncho Sweater
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved knitwear. Maybe it’s because my Mum used to knit cute sweaters for me as a little one.
The style and color of this fringe poncho sweater, which is like oatmeal, reminds me of Bonnie Scotland too. If I still lived there I’d definitely need it this season to keep cozy for sure!
Living in SoCal layers are best, even in Fall and Winter. The weather can be extremely mild and it actually feels like a treat to layer up and pull on some boots!
Funny to find myself thinking this way, as years ago, when I still lived in Scotland I would have given anything for a mild Fall and Winter…Spring and Summer too! (our weather is often, too often for my liking, four seasons in one day…)
Anyhoo, I digress; back to the main topic and outfit of the day! I paired this turtleneck poncho sweater with some tan knee high boots.
Together they are super cozy and the netural colors great for Fall.
My shawl is by Modena and is one of those purchases I picked up somewhere along the way.
However, I found another one that I love, that has the same vibe from Anthropologie.
This poncho is gorgeous and timeless. It would look fantastic during the day, as a casual outfit and also adorable to keep you warm on the beach at night.
My tall tan boots are made by American Rag for Macy’s. They’re super comfortable and I love that they are micro-suede too.
One of the reasons I chose this color, is I already have an over the knee pair of flat boots in black.
When I tried them on in the store two women also complimented them, same thing first time I wore them out shopping.
These boots still get lots of compliments and they’re a great addition when paired with a cozy poncho. Plus they’ll last for a good few years too, I love that!
Actually, I like them so much, I’m considering ordering them in the color Truffle. It’s similar to the oatmeal color of the poncho and I think I’ll love them in this color too, but we’ll see.
I’ll keep you posted if I purchase them, for sure.
