Women’s Military Style Jacket
One of my favorite stores for wardrobe basics is Target.
It’s hard to beat their quality in that price range.
My jacket, jeans, sneakers and t-shirt are all from there! My scarf is a Calvin Klein cutie and my backpack is a Louis Vuitton GM Montsouris that’s 20 years old.
I love to mix high street fashion with a little bit of luxury, like a good bag or shoes.
These women’s dv Roselyn Suede High Top Sneakers from Target are very comfortable. They run a little big, I usually wear a 6.5 and sized down to 6.0.
I probably won’t wear socks with them, if you will, it may be better not to size down.
They’re a great buy for $34.99 and they also come in navy which would look great with white jeans.
I wanted a pair of ripped raw hem jeans and found these at Target.
There are a few things I really love about this particular pair:
- They’re high rise & very comfortable
- They have stitching over the rips in the legs & don’t show flesh
- The hem is raw
- They’re available in Short and Regular lengths, as a shortie (5’3″) I LOVE that!
- They’re only $29.99 & sometimes even less on sale
Finding a pair that had stitching over the rips and in a short length wasn’t easy so I bought a backup pair.
I love my old LV Montsouris and don’t need to buy another backpack.
But if I did, the Women’s Cesca Medium Backpack with Zip Closure and Front Pocket from Target is a real cutie and it’s only $39.99! I particularly like it in the color Cognac.
A good basic t shirt and scarf are wardrobe staples because you can mix and match and dress both up or down easily.
You’ll find a similar t shirt here for $8.
My Calvin Klein scarf is years old, but I did find lots of similar ones at Nordstrom. They have a really nice selection to check out.
One thing that interests me is how we all look at age. Personally, I thing there is something wonderful about every age and I don’t feel the need to compare, or say one is better than another.
However, I did find this interesting article from the BBC, about what stage is the ‘prime of your life’. What are your thoughts on this, I’d love to hear from you.
Glow with the flow, xo
